John has been a FAN of comedy his whole life, but he first climbed on stage during an OPEN MIC contest in Sioux Falls in 2009. He competed against 15 other comics and John walked away with 1st place. Since then he's had the chance to work with some of his favorite comics, including Bob Newhart, Bill Engval, Larry The Cable Guy, Dennis Regan, Frank Caliendo, Joe Gatto and the late Bob Saget. (and MANY more!)

MC & SPEAKER
John has been the Master of Ceremonies (M.C. or Emcee) or a guest speaker at numerous events including the Small Business Summit for the SBA in 2023, Project Management Symposium (2 times), Brandon Valley Chamber Annual Dinner (5 times), Auction Amore MC (4 times), Pierre Chamber of Commerce and KCCR Event, Powell Broadcasting in Sioux City event (3 times), Riverfront Broadcasting in Yankton (2 times), Riverfront Broadcasting in Mitchell (3 times), Plumbers Success International Expos in Orlando, LA, Dallas.... Roofers Success International Expos in Dallas, St Louis.... Electricians Success International Expos in St Louis, Orlando and the Airtime 500 Expos in St. Louis, Dallas, Orlando and many additional events.

VOICE ACTOR
As a voice actor in commercials, John's voice has been heard on XM & Sirius Radio and National Talk Radio Shows from Talk Radio Network, plus he's been the voice for Small Business clients on LOCAL Radio Stations in all 50 states and several other countries. Whether it's John's natural voice, or a fun "character voice", he'll put his heart into bringing it to life.

RADIO ANNOUNCER
John and his wife Heidi host a daily radio show "The John & Heidi Show" which started on Sunny Radio in Sioux Falls in 2010 and was then put into syndication in 2015. The show can be heard on about 300 radio stations around the US and a few other countries through syndication. The radio show, on six days a week, is also available as a PODCAST! ACTOR (sort of)
John and his family were involved in making the movie DEEREY: OFF THE WALL in 2019. John plays Officer Jerry. The film can be found on Amazon Prime, where is has 3.9 stars (out of 5... not 10)


The film is a silly local movie that did not take itself too seriously. We had a blast making it... and love that it makes people smile yet today! Except for a few crabby ONE STAR PEOPLE who "didn't get it". These people really NEED to laugh!
